Clarence “CoCo” Emery born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bedford Stuyvesant area (Roosevelt Projects) to be exact. CoCo started off in the entertainment industry interning for Sean “Diddy” Combs and his Bad Boy Entertainment label as a street team rep. He promoted all artist under Diddy’s label, and he hustled and grind, his way up to working for Diddy’s recording studio called Daddy’s House Recording Studio where he learned engineering, producing beats, and developing artist. While also working for Diddy Coco wrote songs and did beats for artist known as Faith Evans, Mase, Shine, Power of 3, Frankie and a few others. He soon transitioned his way into streetwear fashion and in 2009 he acquired his associate degree in fashion design and merchandising from Katharine Gibbs School. In 2012 he started his own streetwear brand called Brklyn Empire Clothing Company in tribute to the Barclays Center opening in Brooklyn and wanting to be an entrepreneur. His first signature designed slogan shirt for the brand is simple and to the point called “Forever Brooklyn” and has all the real true Brooklyn representatives rocking them everywhere.
